Why choose law?

A strong foundation in law opens doors.

It provides the skills to be a highly successful leader, whether it’s on the global stage in human rights or international relations, running a multi-national corporation, leading a charitable organisation that’s changing people’s lives, or influencing public policy for the betterment of society.

As well as giving you an intricate understanding of Australia’s complex political and legal systems, a background in law helps develop highly sought-after transferrable skills such as attention to detail, writing, collaboration, and the ability to work to deadline in a high-pressure environment.

Best of all, it enables you to fight injustice, defend the innocent and protect the marginalised in our society.

If that sounds like you, get in touch to explore your career possibilities with Aulich.

Our values and culture

A happy, healthy lifestyle is fundamental to a productive and rewarding career.

We believe in a flexible, inclusive and safe workplace that puts the focus on work-life balance. It’s not unusual to see one or two of our kids in the office during school holidays… or the occasional pooch when they’re feeling a bit needy.

Treating each other with respect, courtesy and kindness, and providing opportunities for those from all backgrounds and abilities underpins the Aulich way of working.

We believe in helping our people do their best work, whether through work-from-home flexibility (though most of our team prefer to be in our spacious, state-of-the-art offices in Canberra’s central legal precinct!), extra days’ leave over Christmas or by extending unlimited employee assistance program benefits to our staff members’ families as well.

And food. We love food, too – competitive bake-offs are a staple among Aulich staff activities. Bring your oven gloves.

We identify each person’s strengths and provide them with the mentorship, training and support they need to fly high.

What our clients say

At Aulich, we're making a difference. You can too.
But don't just listen to us. Here's what just a few of our clients say...

As my lawyer, Carley’s calm and wise counsel helped me get through a terrible time in my life. We won my court hearing and got our costs back but, more than that, Carley’s kindness and empathy helped me remember there are good people in the world. I’m so grateful I came to Aulich for help.

Aulich helped us so much in times of need. They’re a very compassionate and caring team that went the extra mile for us. Thank you to Aulich for everything you have done for me and my family. It will never be forgotten.

A lot of people think lawyers all just want money but Peter just wanted to do what was right. It has affected my life forever winning this case and I am forever grateful to Peter and my barrister for everything they did.
