Ben Aulich – an update from our Managing Partner

Today I appeared on behalf of my friend and business partner Ben Aulich in the ACT Magistrates Court, instructing David Campbell SC.

Both Ben and his co-accused made applications to cross-examine several police officers during the upcoming committal hearing for this matter.

The AFP has to date refused to provide information on the internal approvals processes that led to charges being laid against Ben. The opportunity to cross-examine AFP officers would enable us to explore the legality and propriety of police conduct around the undercover operations that targeted Ben.

After hearing submissions, the presiding magistrate today reserved his decision until mid-January 2023. I will update you on the outcome of this decision in the new year.

We remain grateful to our clients, colleagues and friends for your ongoing support of Ben and the firm.
